THE BRENN FOUNDATION + MUSGROVE RETREAT AND CONFERENCE CENTER
The Musgrove Retreat and Conference Center, under the stewardship of The Brenn Foundation, is a beautiful picturesque 600-acre hidden sanctuary on the banks of Village Creek that takes you back in time. Musgrove is rich with history from its construction in 1938 by R.J. Reynolds Tobacco heir and philanthropist Nancy Susan Reynolds, to President Carter’s first pre-inaugural cabinet meeting. Mrs. Reynolds felt strongly that the Musgrove mission of family gathering and philanthropy carry on. In the spirit of that mission, generations still enjoy the lush grounds amidst the draping Spanish moss and the sweet and spicy smell of the BBQ pit. They gather as family, colleagues and friends and invite you to do the same.
We become not a melting pot but a beautiful mosaic. Different people, different beliefs, different yearnings, different hopes, different dreams. - Jimmy Carter
Musgrove has preserved its land and its foundation of philanthropy with the goal of gathering great minds towards global change. From Jimmy Carter's first inaugural cabinet meeting to board meetings and conferences for global non-profits and corporations, Musgrove provides a secluded, one-of-a-kind customized and professional experience for your team.
